Description
A short article celebrating American innovation in the field of surgery the Paris Exhibition held from April to November 1867. The American contribution to the exhibition is compared heavily to the spectacular reception of earlier American inventions such as M'Cormick's Reaper and Hobb's Locks at London exhibitions, yet the approval of French surgeons in Paris is celebrated nonetheless. Dr. Charles F. Taylor of New York is commended for his orthopaedic corset.
